Boarding Agreement

  • Vaccines: In order to board your pet, his/her Rabies vaccine must be current. DHPP for dogs and FVRCP for cats must be administered within the last three (3) years or within the last (12) months if a puppy of kitten. Bordetella vaccines for dogs must be administered at least 72 hours before your dog is admitted to boarding. If boarding an Avian or Exotic pet, the pet must have had an exam here within the last 12 months. If you pet does not receive his or her vaccines at our hospital, you must present documentation that verifies current vaccines. If any vaccines are administered at this facility, an examination fee and a charge for vaccines will be added to your invoices

    Seniors: Any pet over 10 years of age must have had an examination at our facility within the last 6 months to ensure a boarding environment is best for their health and safety.

    Brachycephalic Breeds: Each brachycephalic boarder will have their facial folds checked and documented upon intake. While they stay with us we will check them daily and clean them every other day as normal maintenance for the breed. If more extensive care is needed (beyond routine cleaning) there will be a treatment charge added to their boarding invoice.

    Diet: We feed Purina Sensitive Stomach & Skin dry food in our kennel. If you bring your own food, please be sure it is clearly labeled and in a re-sealable container (please no plastic grocery bags). Please indicate feeding instructions to our reception team.

    Medications: A technician will administer any required prescription or nonprescription medications to your pet for an additional fee per per day. Please keep medications in their original containers so we can easily identify them. If medications need to filled or refilled, they will be added to your invoice.

    Personal Items: Personal items may be left at your own risk; we are not responsible for loss or damaged items.

    Drop Off & Pick Up Hours: Patients must be picked up by 3pm on Mondays and 12pm Tues-Sat. If you exceed the pick-up time you will incur a late checkout fee.

    Our Business Hours: Monday- Friday 7:30am-7:30pm, Saturday 8am - 4pm, Sunday: Closed

    Please note, if there is inclement weather or a holiday our regular business hours may be affected.

    Baths: All dogs staying 3 or more nights will receive a courtesy clean-up bath before they go home. In order to maintain high quality standards, if the pet becomes soiled, that pet will be bathed at the owners expense.

    Boarding Fee: A full night's boarding is charged for an overnight stay, no matter what time the pet(s) is admitted. Overnight prices do not include extra play time or pool time.

    Extras: (there are charges associated with these, please call for details)

    * If pet is receiving a bath, please pick up after 1pm.
  • Statement of Kennel Policy:

    We are to use all reasonable precaution against injury, escape or death of your pet. Hunt Valley Animal Hospital does not provide overnight supervision. The Clinic and Staff will not be held liable for any problems that develop provided reasonable care and precautions are followed. I understand that any problem that develops with {Type Your Pet's Name Above} while I am absent will be treated as deemed best by the staff veterinarians and I assume full responsibility for the treatment and expenses involved. I certify that {Type Your Pet's Name Above} appear to be free of contagious disease and has/have not bitten anyone within the past 10 days. If I neglect to pick up my pet within 5 days of the date above and do not notify you within that time frame, you may assume that the pet(s) is/are abandoned and herby authorize Hunt Valley Animal Hospital to decide the best placement for said pet in accordance with the Maryland State Law which does not relieve me of my financial obligations.
