So You Wanna Be A Vet...

Hunt Valley Animal Hospital is a state of art facility offering advanced services such as digital radiology, ultrasound, minimally invasive surgery and much more. We are staffed by highly motivated and compassionate veterinarians and technicians who all started just like you. We were the kids who wanted to save all the baby birds that fell from their nest and bring home every stray creature that roamed the neighborhood. Very simply put, we are crazy about animals too!

Our career driven course is for children between the ages of 10 through 15. We start our session with a tour of the hospital and then gather in an exam room where we start our case study.  Each student will receive a chart to record their findings. Our case will take us to the lab where we will set up and read samples. We will then move to our treatment area where we will further evaluate our patient, read x-rays and discuss our diagnosis and treatment plan.

You will take home a completed chart of your patient including pictures, ECG strips, blood results and more.

Please wear tennis shoes and long pants and come with a list of any questions that you may have about your future career.

To reserve a spot in our junior vet program, So You Wanna Be a Vet, fill out the registration form below and mail it with your donation of $35.00.  Please make check payable to Hunt Valley Animal Hospital.  A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Morris Animal Foundation, in the participant's name.  Once your registration form has been received, Rebecca Stillwell CVT, the program director, will contact you to schedule a time and date.  We look forward to meeting you and beginning our journey in So You Wanna Be a Vet.
