Hunt Valley Dog Grooming Services
Hunt Valley dog grooming is one of the specialties at Hunt Valley Animal Hospital.
Just like people, dogs need to be cleaned and groomed on a regular
basis to stay healthy and able to enjoy life to the fullest. Hunt Valley dog grooming
is especially important in the summer months. Pet hair, like people’s
hair, tends to grow faster in the warmer months. Most dogs need to be
groomed every few months, but this may increase in the summer months. It
will also depend on the type and breed of your dog, and your
preference.
Many
people wonder when they should give their dogs their first grooming. We
suggest that you start your dog off early, taking him or her for their
first grooming in the first 3-4 months of their life. Visiting a dog groomer
may not come naturally to your pet, and the earlier you start your dog
off learning what the grooming process is like, the faster they will
learn and the easier it will be for everyone concerned in the long
term.
First Dog Grooming Visit

Your pet’s first visit to our Hunt Valley dog groomer may only involve a bath and a minor trim. What takes place in the session will depend on what your pet is comfortable with. Further services such a nail trimming will be added as your dog gets used to being in our animal vet clinic. This is why it is good to start your pet out early—so he can get used to the sounds and smells of the animal hospital.
Kathleen Muth is our designated dog groomer,
and works with compassion and professionalism to ensure a positive
experience for your pet. She will also be happy to answer any questions
you have about the process prior to your visit. Kathleen, or any member
of our excellent staff can be reached at 410-645-9191.
Dog grooming is just one of the many services that Hunt Valley Animal Hospital offers. Our veterinary hospital provides
a warm, inviting and hospitable environment for your pet. We are
committed to the highest standards of quality and excellence, and want
both you and your pet to be completely satisfied when you leave our
