Brianne Howard - Bri joined the reception team in August 2009. Bri was born in Toronto, Canada and moved to Maryland in 1997. She enjoys swimming, reading, traveling, scuba diving, snorkeling and hanging out with people she is close to. She travels back to Canada every summer to stay on her Uncle's farm and helps to rescue injured wildlife. Bri has 3 cats Jack, Buster and Jill; as well as a 13 year old Shihtzu mix named Maddie.
Jill Krebs - Jill joined us in June 2009 and now wears many hats at Hunt Valley Animal Hospital. She shares the responsibilities of Practice Manager and inventory specialist with Rebecca Stillwell. Jill is the reception manager and also spends some time as a technician. Jill and Rebecca recently adopted a special needs cat, named Weebles, from Defenders of Animal Rights and he graces the administrative offices of HVAH. Jill, husband Bill, and combined 5 children are all very active. Jill and her husband own and operate a SCUBA instruction school and are very involved in ocean conservation. When not at HVAH, Jill is a volunteer at the National Aquarium where she has the opportunity to feed a variety of marine animals such as sting rays, sharks and, best of all, a rescued 500 lb green sea turtle named Calypso. Jill shares her home with two miniature Dachshunds, Jack and Clay, a Siamese cat named Kila and two English Mastiffs, Bubba (adopted from Defenders of Animal Rights) and Bella.
Krista Norwood - Krista became a valued member of our reception team in June 2010. She is a Baltimore native who has enjoyed working in veterinary medicine for the past 6 years. She enjoys reading, hiking, cooking, and spending time with family and friends. Krista has 3 dogs and 1 cat and thinks that very few things can't be improved by adding a dog (except maybe her meat sauce).
Linda Rumenap - Linda has been a receptionist at Hunt Valley Animal Hospital since 1988! She has a precious little pomeranian named Prissy, whom she adopted from Defenders of Animal Rights. She also has two Granddogs, a border collie named Maggie and a black lab, named Jake. Linda is a huge sports fan - GO RAVENS!
OUR TECHNICIAN TEAM
Joyce Adams, RVT - Hunt Valley Animal Hospital welcomed Joyce in December 2009. She graduated from Essex Community College in 1999 with a degree in Applied Science as a Veterinary Technician. Joyce has worked in the veterinary field for 15 years! She loves all animals, but is especially fond of her boxer, Jasmine and Siamese mix cat, Miranda (both adopted). In 2008, Joyce and her husband, Carl, became parents with the adoption of two young siblings who they love very much.
Kim Bianco - Kim started with Hunt Valley as an intern during her veterinary assistant certificate training. After receiving her certificate from Caroll County Community College in March 2011, Kim joined our team as a full time employee. She impressed everyone so much during her internship, we couldn't wait to have her as a member of the technician team.
Kristen Gilbert - Kristen was a veterinary technician for several years before joining the reception team at Hunt Valley. In December 2011, Kristen transitioned full time to the technician team. She has assisted with animal care at a few animal rescues as well. She owns two cats, three dogs, horses and rats. When she is not working, Kristen enjoys taking her dogs to parks for walks and spending time with her friends.
Alison Norquest - Alison joined Hunt Valley in March 2011 as part of our receptionist team, but is now using her experience and skills as a part time member of the technician team.
Natasha Nyulasi - We were happy to welcome Natasha back to Hunt Valley in October 2009 as a valued member of our technician team. She shares her home with her wife, Danielle and a ferret, Barnum; a parrot named Bailey and 4 cats, Gator, Weezie, and Xena.
Erin Robbins - Erin has been a valued member of our kennel team since September 2009 and has been leading the kennel for the last year. As of November 2011, she will be using her new found experience as a valued assistant with the technician team. Erin has been working with animals since 2006. She and her husband, Joshua, have fostered and adopted many wonderful kitties over the years. Besides animals, Erin also loves old movies, books and records.
Rebecca Stillwell, CVT - Rebecca shares the responsibilities of Practice Manager and inventory specialist with Jill Krebs. Together, Jill and Rebecca share the administrative office with a special needs cat named Weebles. In addition, she is the technician and kennel manager and Junior Vet Program coordinator. Rebecca graduated from Essex Community College in 2001 with a degree in applied science as a Veterinary Technician. In 2005, Rebecca completed a course on rigid endoscopy at the University of Georgia. In 2006, she completed additional endoscopy courses at Colorado State University. She joined the Hunt Valley Animal Hospital team in 2001, with surgery and endoscopy being her areas of interest. Rebecca has three children, Megan, Kaitlin and Robby. She enjoys cycling, kayaking, and hiking with her German Shepherd, Basso. She also shares her home with an Amazon Parrot named Amelia, a mixed breed dog named Daisy, two blind cats named Winken and Olive and an orange tabby cat named Dexter; the latter four adopted from Defenders of Animal Rights. She also has a Tibetan Spaniel named Liam who will start his show career in the spring. Go Liam!
OUR CAT AND DOG GROOMER
Kathleen Muth
Kathleen has been grooming dogs and cats at Hunt Valley Animal Hospital since 2000. Kathleen does not have any pets of her own, but she considers all of the animals that she grooms to be her own and gives them the utmost care as if they were. Outside of the grooming room, Kathleen is an avid writer of poetry and short stories. She also creates furniture art and designs her own greeting cards.
Ashlynn Eckard - Ashlynn joined Hunt Valley Animal Hospital as a kennel assistant in August 2011. She likes to read, ride horses and spend time with family. Ashlynn shares her home with two German Shepherd dogs, Jadence and Buster and a cat named Pee Wee. She recently adopted Kylie, a kitten with no tail, from Defenders of Animal Rights.
Paige Martin - Paige has been a valued member of our kennel team since May 2011. She is our summer and holiday kennel assistant. Paige is currently attending Methodist University in Fayetteville, NC studying to be an elementary teacher for children with special needs. Paige has two cats, Bubba and Delilah at her Dad's home and four dogs and a cat at her Mom's home. She stays active snow skiing, rock climbing and scuba diving.
Leonard Monroe - Lenny started in the kennel at Hunt Valley in October 2011 and has been enjoying it ever since. He has been working with animals for the past three years. He lives in Baltimore City with his cat, Sage and his roommate's dogs, Audrey and Rickey. In Lenny's spare time, he enjoys building, riding bicycles, painting, gardening and organizing communities.
Cassie Schanberger - Cassie joined the Hunt Valley kennel team in June 2011. She attended Empire Beauty School for two years and still enjoys doing hair. But, taking care of animals is her passion and she loves it. Cassie is known around the hospital for her colorful scrubs and matching shoes. She has two beagles, Snoopy who is 14 years old and Daisy Mae who is 4 years old. Cassie also has two rabbits, Dusty rescued from a pet shop in 2007 and Almond adopted from the Baltimore Humane Society in 2007. Finally, Isabella (aka Moose, Izzy) the cat shares Cassie's home. Isabella is blind in one eye and Cassie was fostering her until Izzy adopted the family in October of 2009. On Sundays, you can find Cassie glued to the TV watching the Ravens play. On any other day, you can find her hanging out with her cousin and Goddaughter or her autistic brother, George.
